A mouth blown glass ornament designed to capture light, atmosphere, and seasonal beauty.

Designed as part of Kodanska's collaboration with Villa Copenhagen, Glass Designer Marie Graff wanted to create a collection of handmade ornaments with a timeless and elegant expression. The ambition was to create beautiful reflections of light while complementing the classic and elegant surroundings of the hotel.

Unique Design Feature
Each ornament is decorated with Art glass mixed with sand collected from Danish beaches. As light passes through the glass, the sand creates beautiful reflections and unique patterns, making every ornament one of a kind.
The collection consists of three different designs that can be displayed individually or together to create a beautiful visual interplay.

Craftsmanship
Each ornament is individually mouth blown by skilled artisans in Europe. While the glass is still hot, Art glass mixed with sand is applied by hand. Once the ornament has been shaped, it is removed from the blowpipe and a small glass loop is carefully attached by hand. The ornament is then placed in a cooling oven, where it slowly cools to ensure strength and durability. This traditional technique ensures that each product is unique.

Display Recommendations
Due to the weight of the handcrafted glass, we recommend displaying the ornament on sturdy branches such as apple, willow, or other strong decorative branches. The ornament is also beautiful when hung in a window, where the glass and sand can interact with the changing light throughout the day.
